Assistant Depot Manager / Fitter

We're currently recruiting an Assistant Depot Manager / Fitter.

The Assistant Manager / Earthmover Tyre Fitter will possess good organisational skills and demonstrate effective leadership and staff management, supporting the Depot Manager and being responsible for daily operations, procedures, staff, vehicle maintenance and equipment. They will work autonomously within the job role, completing objectives agreed with the Operations Manager / Director. The role also involves developing good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and attending customer sites to carry out the responsibilities of a Tyre Fitter when required, such as during annual leave, sickness absence or training.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Salary: from £40,000 per year + Vehicle + Performance Related Pay

Reporting To: Depot Manager / Operations Manager

Main Activities
  • Ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) conforms to ISO 9001: 2015

  • Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes

  • Report to senior management on the performance of the QMS; on opportunities for improvement; on change requirements; on innovations

  • Ensure the promotion of customer focus

  • Ensure the integrity of the QMS is maintained

  • Deliver and manage all T&C Site Services operational processes within their geographical area in order to maintain and develop a profitable business

  • Be responsible for realising the administrative processes and procedures, including compliance with health, safety, environment and quality programmes

  • Manage, lead and motivate a team of fitters to ensure customers’ needs and business objectives are achieved

  • Manage and deploy depot equipment and resources to ensure efficient service provision

Experience & Requirements

Requirements:

  • A good level of verbal and written communication

  • Competent IT skills

  • Full driving licence (preferably clean)

  • Willing to travel between depots when necessary

 

Advantageous:

  • Good working knowledge of company RAMS, policies and processes

  • Good communicator and the ability to liaise at various company levels
